Watermelon Wasteland

Another dinner invitation was extended to us yesterday at The Passion Post. One more gal has joined Bob & Miss Cherry so they wanted everyone to get together and have "family night". I always get super excited to go over there because they always do it up right and it's always nice to have a change of scenery, see some cool peeps and our taste buds get some new things goin' on! We all chit chatted for a bit and then chowed down on some delicious grub. I was so hungry that I almost forgot to take pics of the food. Miss Cherry said I must've been REALLY hungry if I didn't have pics yet...she knows me too well already! haha I was just glad there was still some food left so I was able to get some pictures of our feast. We had spaghetti, green beans mixed with sweet corn and mushrooms, a lovely fruit salad that Miss Trish made with yummy ass grapes (& I don't even like grapes!), some cukes, & more olives.

For dessert we had some mouth watering watermelon. Miss Cherry told us that the brown scratches on the outside are not from being bad or anything, they are actually from bees trying to get the sweet juice from the inside...(Mr. Farmer man told her that). You learn something new everyday!

After dinner we sat, digested and watched...okay "yelled" at the dogs because they were playing in the middle of the chair circle, kicking up dirt and dust everywhere. That's not very nice in such a tight circle, but it's cool they like to play together.

Zeke is really funny with Savannah, he's only a puppy about 10 months but he knows that Nana is pretty spunky so he teases her until she nips at him or chases him...he runs away then comes right back for more. He's such a taunter, it's hilarious!

We started dinner a little later than usual, around 6, so we weren't there for very long, just a couple of hours. Bob came on his walk with us on the way home. Savannah was able to be a "normal" dog and be off of her leash, she's so good when Homer is around, she just sticks right by his side and they hunt together.

What I would do to have her just be "normal", haha she's always terrorizing and bullying everyone and everything. She totally thinks she's the boss, she even does it to me sometimes...that doesn't fly for long! I just hope the day never comes where if she sees a Bear, Mountain Lion, Coyote or anything else that could kill her, she doesn't act the same way because I'm sure they don't play around. They will see her as a meal and not as a new friend to play with....sigh. Having kids like this is tough! haha I'm sure she'll chill out as she gets older, either that or she'll get even more ornery...oh boy! Well until tomorrow my peeps, I hope you had a great today and will have an even better tomorrow.

PEACE

  1. I saw on Bob's blog a post about this dinner I think and about you. That must be great to be camping in the same area with all these other vehicle dwellers.

Oh and about the nails keeping them clean I would suggest to cut them off. Best way to not have to muss about with them. hehe
