A holiday stuffed with parks & naps

The past couple of days have been pretty much the norm. On Wednesday, we went back to Bullhead Community Park and were alone most of the day.

When we pulled in on Wednesday morning, around 8:15 a.m., we weren't the only ones there. **Sidenote: There is a guy, that we "met" one day behind the Chevron station while walking Savannah (we were looking for a spigot for refreshing our water). We had a small conversation with him asking about the water...he told us the owner and him have an agreement because he's looking for a certain type of mineral in the area and he uses the water to rinse them off before taking them "back to the lab"... whatever that means!** So, when we arrived at the park...there was "the rock guy". He would pick up a rock (a big rock), look it over really well, walk to his car, pop the trunk, load it in, close the trunk, lock the car with his key to make a "honk" noise, then return to the ground. He probably did this a good sixty times before he sat down and had a snack. Now that's perseverance!

The rest of the day was nice, we were all alone until about 5:00 or so and then a family came and hung out on this little island for about an hour and a half...they were taking family photos and having a good time (everyone is together for the holiday).

The next day would be THANKSGIVING! (Gobble Gobble) We were able to talk to a few people, always nice talking to our lil' Owl and mothers. We watched the entire Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which J' said he never even knew that was a big ordeal! What!? That's the whole reason I turned the telly on...he thought I was looking for the game! haha

And yes, of course we watched the foosball but I was very happy to get the entire parade in...that's a first! For us, it was just going to be another day but we are very thankful for my momma for making us feel part of the festivities (even though we are very far away from home). She "sent" us a nice meal and even had a little bit leftover for some gas. I don't know how she does it but she's always right on with everything! Thanks momma, we are very thankful for you, we love you!

The next day, Friday, before we went anywhere for the day we went to Walmart. Why...do you ask? Why on Black Friday would we do such a thing? Because we totally spaced it and forgot...until we walked into the store! My goodness. It wasn't as bad as it probably was a few hours before, but the lines were massive. Thankfully, we only had a few items and got in and out of the speedy checkout in less than 5 minutes! Hoo-rah!! Yesterday, we had decided that we were going to pull the van apart and try to get rid of some stuff (like the big milk crate taking up a whole bunch of much needed space in the cabin of the van). We went over to Sam's Clubs parking lot and started taking everything apart...what a crappy day to be doing this! I swear we were in the middle of a huge wind storm, it was just awful. We had everything out of the van on the ground, we had to keep heavier things on top of the lighter things because they were literally blowing down the parking lot. We did get a lot done though. I was able to vacuum the entire van (oh, she's sooo clean now) and J' did a lot of moving stuff around to get rid of other stuff. A bad day to do it, but it had to be done.

We went back to Bullhead Community Park, where we pretty much had something to eat and then, since we both felt like total crap, we decided to take a nap and let it pass (rather then stick it out the rest of the day like usual). What a great place to stick up the antennae, roll out the bed and veg for the rest of the day!

When we got up from our nap, it was pretty much dark outside. A big group of people were on the little island throwing rocks in the water, running around, just a hottin' & hollerin'....hey whatever floats your boat! The view on the river, at night, is something else though...it's very pretty and for the most part, pretty peaceful!

After rubbing the sleepy out of our eyes, we drove back over to the Colorado Belle parking lot, set-up 'shop' and laid back down for the night. Boob tube was on, we were snuggled back in the blankies and almost back in slumberland.

It's been a good couple of days, we are hoping to move on pretty soon. I think we have seen all Laughlin/Bullhead City has to offer us and we really have no more to offer them!

I wish you all a peaceful nights rest and hope you all had a nice, peaceful, fun, loving holiday with the people you wanted to be with... and if not, I hope you get everyone elses leftovers!
