Preparation can be fun!

Lately there has been a certain difference in the air. J' has been working just as hard but less. It's been nice to have him out of the van and experience more with him and he also gets to see the beauty of everything around us...really take it in!

In between gazing at our beautiful view, spending time with my lover and a couple of walks I was able to catch up on my nails. I was really excited to get the gun metal grey off and my new (dollar store) red on my ticklers (hands). I had quite the mess when I dove into my mani bag...the black and gun metal had melted all over the other bottles. I cleaned it up with nail polish remover, threw those two away and luckily the new red was in my other bag! I  LOVE  this color!!

I took one of my dresses and made it into a shirt instead because the length hit me in a weird spot and I figured I'd probably wear it more if it were a comfy shirt... that took a while!

Closer to the end of the day, J' and I took a walk to stretch our legs and enjoy the late afternoon together. We walked and found a few spots that would be ideal for us with the sun moving behind the trees just a little more each day. We walked and talked and scoped it out, maybe it would become our new spot. We figured it might be good for us to pack everything up and move, even if it's just a 1/4 mile away...good practice since we're so spread out right now. A lot to talk about and consider but after our walk today I feel a change comin' on!

Superhero's are installing our Solar!

Today was quite the lovely day...well probably not for J' & Bob....no, not Silent Bob. I can honestly say that I gave Miss Cherry the most girly day she's probably ever had in the middle of the forest! While Bob & J' were playing Installer(s), I showed Miss Cherry what a Tai Shan Spa Day felt like. I wasn't sure at first, if she would even want a mini spa day (believe me, from being in the business some women are strange about  being touched). I asked her if she would mind me pampering her and she said, "Oh honey, you don't have to ask me!" So Miss Cherry was about to get some pamperin' out here in deez woods! *I have to stop because everytime I say the word woods, it reminds me of my favorite comedian, Brian Regan, that did a bit on singular and plural words while being in grammar school and the teacher would always call on him and he could never seem to get it right. Anyway, she was asking him all of these questions like, Brian, what is the plural of Goose, what is the plural of Ox, what is the plural of box etc... at the end of that little bit, he's yelling out all of the stuff he just supposedly learned, although he's completely confused and he's asked something else I can't remember, and he says Moosen lay on the boxen in the woodsen or something like that. So everytime I write that, I am saying woodsen to myself, so don't be surprised if one day I accidentally type it! haha Don't you just love it when I get off topic! This is your brain...this is your brain inside my head! Bwahahaha If you Youtube it or probably even just put it in Google it is Brian Regan ~ Stupid in School, it's hilarious. Okay that's enough *
Yes, yes, Miss Cherry in the woodsen about to get pampered! I don't really know what she expected but I don't think she expected the works! I don't mess around, especially when it comes to someone I adore. Her treatment started off with a soothing soak in nice soapy water with some Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz to release the negative energies (I don't think she has any, but it's nice all the same).

[caption id="attachment_250" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Soaking her worries away[/caption]

After her soothing soak, I applied cuticle gel and pushed back all of her cuticles (every hand needs this from time to time no matter man or woman), I applied Lavendar oil to the nail, then filed and buffed the top as well as the tip of the nail.

[caption id="attachment_251" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Workin' hard for Miss Cherry (sing it)[/caption]

After making sure all of the oil and dust were off of her fingers it was time to break for lunch, perfect time...no one wants to try to eat with their hands when their nails are wet! J' & I were going to cook some chicken and veggies but they just wanted something simple, so PB & J it was. I had a piece of bread with Crabapple Jelly (I bought from the farm next door before we left Georgia) and a banana. We sat for just a bit and chit-chatted while we ate, the men still had a lot of work to do on the Solar...and we did too!

After our totally scrumptious lunch everyone went back to work. It was time for me to paint...the real fun part! I asked Cherry to pick a color at the beginning and she couldn't decide on two beautiful colors, a purple and a pink, so I said why choose just one when you can do both!? She (almost) squealed with excitement and said, Yes, yes, let's definitely do both! She was totally stoked and I was stoked that she was stoked...we were stoked! I did every other nail purple and then the other ones pink and yes a clear coat was put on bottom and top. They turned out so incredible, she just loves them. She was very excited to tell her granddaughter...Grandma's can be cool too!

[caption id="attachment_252" align="aligncenter" width="225"] Purty girl with purty hands[/caption]

I was so happy to give her a nice relaxing day, even in the woods(en) it's nice to get pampered. All the while, J' & Bob are piecing our Solar together like a couple of pros. One of them is inside, while the other one is outside drilling holes into the roof of the van. That may be one reason, I wasn't watching all of this go down...holes in the roof of Joon Van!!! BUT I trust the boys in that they know what they are doing...at least it looks like it!

[caption id="attachment_273" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Professor Power & Dr. Dynamo hard at work[/caption]

They really are doing a spectacular job and I'm just so glad that Bob is here to help, I'm sure it saved many an argument between the hubby and I (because I have no clue what the little pieces are even for, yet what they do or what they are. Bob has done this a couple of times before so again it was super helpful to have him here. THANKS BOB!

Well, the day is coming to an end. The Solar is still not entirely done but there's probably not much left, hopefully for both of the boys...it's hot working next to those Solar panels! Before it gets too late we are gonna rock out some Hamburguesa's con Queso (Cheeseburgers for you Scholars out there). These burgers, Bubba Burgers, are super fattening but we have not had them in many many months, so we splurged and now we are going to eat some juicy burgers from the grill...did I mention we're excited!?

Sweet dreams everyone, see you tomorrow my friends!

Strangers in the Night

Now, we don't have another celebration for a while, unless we make one up...which will probably happen. When we first started out, we were going to have Bed-down Wednesday's or Turn it Down Thursday's~ where we just keep the bed down allllll day. It actually worked out for the first couple of weeks but when we got our new bed, it's either up or down because it lays over J's work space, the pantry and some of the cooler. I was pretty bummed because I was the one that mostly celebrated Turn it down Thursday's...haha It feels good to lay down in the middle of the day and do...whatever, read, nap, snuggle with the bug. Sniff, sniff, I miss it. Oh well, I'm sure we'll think of something else. Since we got back we've just been hunkering down, trying to get lots of stuff done before Friday. Friday is when all of our new solar stuff is supposed to be in, so you know what that means...? Hellsno...I mean Fresno. But only for the day, we're just going to go there, get our stuff and come back. This last time we were down there, they had 109 degree temperatures and every time we're down there, we spend more money. So it's the postal place, Wal-mart (we are running mega low on food) and back home. Another thing that kind of made us think twice about staying there is, when we were dancing with the sheep on Friday night at about 1 a.m. I hear music...loud hip/hoppy dance music. It startled me, so I jumped up, turned around and looked out the back window, Savannah was ready to go off...I think it startled her too. As I turn around, I see headlights about 10 yards from our back window, I was like,"Someone's here!" J' turned around then, we were both just staring like, What in the hell. Where we are is NOT a place you go in the middle of the night in the dark, if you don't know someone's holding a place for you and even then I'd camp lower and come up in the morning. It's like The Abyss, no joke. As soon as he saw our camp, he threw it into reverse and left. It took him a while to leave, he had to back up the whole way he came into our camp, which is rocky, narrow and hard to see in the daytime, let alone at night. Poor guy. We just sat and watched him for like 15 minutes until we saw taillights. We are still wondering what his story was, but we haven't seen any sight of anyone since then...little strange. I was glad to not have been alone~ got a man, a dog and my insanity! Anyway, we don't want to leave and be down there farting around on Friday night when we can have our camp...that's right OUR camp! haha So yeah, we've just been doin' what we do. I repainted my nails and gave Nana a little mani too. She wouldn't let me near the back one's after I did the front, she does not like her feet being touched, so it was pretty hard but I got the front ones done and they are so pretty, just like her. I was telling her, it's better for me to just paint them than actually cutting and filing them, (which desparately needs to be done) but she didn't like any of it. Now, we match!

[caption id="attachment_156" align="aligncenter" width="225"] Matching Mani's![/caption]

I offered to do J's nails too and he took a pass, I guess Savannah follows in her daddy's footsteps haha After our nails dried, I bothered Nana even more and took some pictures with her. She doesn't like the camera either...I guess I've taken too many pictures of her throughout her youth. She's just a brat face! haha

[caption id="attachment_157" align="aligncenter" width="225"] She says, "Cheeeeeeezzz"[/caption]

I still give her as much love as I possibly can, I know she'll come around someday...she can't hold all that love inside for just her daddy. She's my lil' Nana bug and she always will be...whether she likes it or not! haha

[caption id="attachment_160" align="aligncenter" width="225"] No wonder she hates pictures[/caption]
